17th June 2020 | Rose In Harlem
by Teyana Taylor
Hello again, here is a short cover by Teyana Taylor. I like singing gospel. However, I enjoy her tone in this song. I don't sound the same as her, but this is my rendition. I like the use of the rose metaphor throughout the music too.
Enjoy!
.
" “Rose in Harlem,” a standout from her new album, K.T.S.E., looks at how that love overpowers the local haters and embezzlers that envy her talent. Taylor addresses this social vampirism with grace and maturity, all while paying homage to her home with classic R&B."
.
"Before Teyana Taylor was born, fellow Harlemite Tupac Shakur compared his own brilliance to a sidewalk rose. With “Rose in Harlem,” Taylor proves her own ability to thrive." - Pitchfork, 26 June '18
6th June 2020 | It Is Well by Bethel Music
Here is a simple track covering one of my favourite gospel songs by Bethel Music. It's supposed to encompass a natural and ambient feel. Although there are more things, I would like to put forward in the future. So, hopefully, you enjoy this one that is mainly in the soft soprano. I also like to sing alto. Listen using headphones.
July 2019. 25th April 2020 | EMBRACE VENICE WITH ME
We navigate through Quarto d'Altino to Venice. The apartment we stayed in was a casual, sophisticated guest house last July. This is a short recollection of the accommodation and some of the destinations we explored—my apologies about the camera angle.
Day 1—St Mark's Square & Basilica, and Gothic Friar Church
Day 2—The Jewish Ghetto (the first ghetto of the world)
Day 3—Island of Murano, Burano and Torcello before escaping
to the beach
Day 4—Canal Grande, rode the bicycles, ice cream, & chill
July 2018. 25th March 2020 | FEED YOUR INNER WANDERLUST
Here I visited Amsterdam in July 2018. I hope you enjoy what I've put together in this short clip of the apartment I stayed in! I don't always have the time to travel, so when I do, I really appreciate the experience and hope to visit more places in the future. I have a travel bucket list, and I am crossing each place off as I go.
Day 1—Early morning boat ride (we had the canals all
to ourselves) and explored the city
Day 2—Van Gogh Museum, local supermarket
Day 3— food @ Café Américain, ice cream
Day 4—stroll through Vondelpark, chill
