My name is Dorcas Rheece Bako. My biblical first name signifies gazelle, which embodies grace and elegance. Rheece means someone to behold (Hausa). Rheece also means devotion, enthusiasm, and warmth (English).

The culture regards your middle name as your first name. My grandfather is John Bako Gaiya, and my grandmother is Mary Rheece Gaiya (Bako). They are both referred to using their middle names. Gaiya means cheerful in Hausa, a similar tongue. In English, it means Earth. My immediate family name is Bako to show respect. Bako means the male firstborn or guest. This website is my online home.
